Staff Attorney advocates for the best interests of unaccompanied and separated immigrant children in immigration proceedings. Responsibilities include supervising volunteer Child Advocates, drafting legal determinations, providing case consultation, collaborating with social workers, engaging government and community stakeholders, attending hearings and interviews, maintaining case data, and supporting recruitment and training. The role requires interdisciplinary, trauma-informed, child-centered advocacy and occasional travel.
