At Holwell Shuster & Goldberg, summer associates are the future.

We are committed to promoting talent from within. We identify our partners from our base of talented associates, and we now identify many associates from our summer associate program. (We have also hired multiple former paralegals as summer associates, in another demonstration of our commitment to promoting from within.)

Accordingly, we value our summer associates greatly and invest in their growth. HSG summer associates receive the same work assignments that a first-year associate would—which, at our firm means they are given meaningful responsibility. Summer associates spend significant time at depositions and hearings, and are substantively involved in witness preparation, trial preparation, briefing, and more.

Beyond case teams, we provide structured support to summer associates through assigned partner and associate mentors. We also plan a robust schedule of social events to ensure that our lawyers get to know our summer associates personally, and vice versa.

We invite summer associates to join us for a 10-week program.

If you are interested in a summer associate position, please submit a resume, transcript, and writing sample below.
