Product Management Practice
BNY’s Product Management Practice plays a key role in delivering products, platforms and experiences that meet client needs, support business goals and drive innovation across the firm. The Product Management Internship Program offers driven students hands-on exposure to the practice through strategic projects aligned to product discovery, client-focused design, product development, delivery execution, and continuous improvement. In a collaborative, fast-paced environment, interns will gain insight into the product lifecycle, support analysis and documentation, and work across product, design, business, operations and technology teams to help bring thoughtful, effective solutions to market.
What you will do

Research user behavior, client needs, market trends, and competitor activity to inform product priorities and positioning.

Participate in discovery activities by gathering feedback from users, clients, and stakeholders and helping identify unmet needs and opportunities.

Support roadmap development by organizing requirements, synthesizing research and stakeholder feedback, and helping teams evaluate trade-offs.

Help evaluate early product concepts and prototypes by gathering feedback, documenting observations, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Assist in documenting product requirements, user journeys, process flows, and other artifacts that help teams align on product direction.

Track product adoption, usage, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and business teams to help move ideas from discovery through delivery and launch.

Program eligibility:

Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred

Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)

Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The expected base salary for this position when employment commences can be found in the Job Info section at the bottom of the posting.
Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Eligible employees also may receive other benefits (including various paid time off benefits, such as vacation and sick time), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, the employee will be in an “at will” position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payments or compensation programs) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
