Job Description

AHRC NYC is looking to hire Account Executive/Job Developers....one for their Brooklyn Employment Business Services (EBS) program and one for their Bronx EBS program.

Compensation Package: $50,000-$60,000 per year. In addition this position comes with a low cost, comprehensive health benefit package. See Benefit information below.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

The Account Executive position is responsible for developing relationships within the business sector that will result in employment and internship opportunities for job seekers and, therefore, must be well versed in various services provided by Employment Business Services (EBS) and comfortable interacting with the highest level of external business professionals. The Account Executive also may make presentations to groups and needs to be creative and innovative in efforts to make known to the business community the broad benefits of hiring our job seekers.

This position will report to the Regional Sales Manager, working closely with him/her to coordinate a plan of action to achieve placement goals for each program in the region and have responsibility for its implementation.
The Account Executive will works closely with Program Staff under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager to provide the best job matching for both job seekers and business customers. He/she will ensure excellent customer service to all customers in collaboration with other EBS staff. The Account Executive will be required to fulfill a quota aligned with the Addendum #1 "Job Placement Goals".

The Account Executive will be required to work a flexible or extended schedule from time to time. He/she will be required to conduct a certain amount of cold calls, presentations, and placements each period. He/she will be required to meet placement goals and submit monthly reports on placements/ points to the Regional Sales Manager. The specific placement goals to be achieved will be communicated at least annually or as needed based on the assessment of existing and newly procured contracts. Addendum #1 is part of this job description. The Account Executive will attend and participate in marketing and other meetings required to perform their job. He/she may be asked to assist other regions in the city or assist other departments when needed for cross-departmental projects and other assignments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop employment opportunities for people supported as outlined in the Addendum #1 attached
  • Promote widespread, positive image/knowledge of AHRC's Employment & Business Services.
  • Initiate employer relationships through cold calling, involvement in business groups and other activities.
  • Cultivate relationships with employers and other business people in the industries targeted through the abilities and interests of job seekers.
  • Accompany job seekers on interviews and help them to present themselves in best light possible. When necessary, travel with the job seekers via public transportation or program van (if approved as agency driver).
  • Coordinate account management in conjunction with Employment and Community Service Coordinator and other appropriate EBS staff.
  • Ensure program placement goals are met for each program in region quarterly.
  • Prepare and deliver marketing presentations as needed
  • Participate in networking events
  • Required to travel throughout the 5 boroughs and in and out of state as needed
  • Conduct other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Arts or Bachelor's in Science, plus 2 years marketing/sales/related experience or Associate's Degree with 5 years of experience, required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with people with disabilities/youth a plus.
  • Ability to work: collaboratively with other Account Executives and Employment & Community Service Coordinators to develop and maintain sites, disseminate information, and provide top quality customer service to all EBS customers.
  • NYS driver's license preferred. Must have clean driving record.
