What You'll Do

As an Account Executive with Valuation background at 73 Strings, you will be pivotal in driving the company's growth by developing new client relationships and turning them into satisfied, long-term users of our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Champion 73 Value — our AI-powered valuation platform for private equity and credit — in client conversations, translating prospects' valuation pain points (slow turnaround, inconsistent methodology, audit readiness) into a compelling business case.

  • Manage and own a named account list, and develop account plans for winning new business

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your network and industry insights. Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at prospective users.

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and ensuring successful implementation.

  • Lead commercial negotiations to increase ARR and market share.

  • Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Pre-Sales, Product, and Engineering) to lead client product workshops, develop client business proposals, and help manage client POC projects.

  • Work with product specialists to map a prospect's current NAV, waterfall, and scenario-modelling processes against 73 Value's capabilities, building ROI-driven proposals grounded in our proof points (10x faster valuations, 99% data accuracy, up to 50% cost savings).

  • Contribute to team projects to scale and optimise our sales strategy.

Who You Are

You are a Valuation professional with a strong attitude for client facing commercial relationships and a deep understanding of the private markets space. Track record in B2B FinTech sales desirable but not essential. You excel at building relationships, navigating complex sales and/or relationship processes, and delivering value to sophisticated clients. You have an in-depth understanding of valuations and are able to articulate to clients how your tools/processes, technology can make them more effective. You are also keen or had exposure to the enterprise buyer journey and could lead together with a dedicated team a multi-stakeholder sale in a structured and consultative manner. You are used to building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with some technical knowledge. You are motivated and excited by owning the sales cycle end-to-end, have exceptional communication skills and a results-oriented mindset. You are excited to help 73 Strings scale its category leading position in the industry.

Minimum Requirements

  • Deep Valuation knowledge acquired in a professional services or large international fund environment.

  • Exposure to the client-facing commercial process and a strong attitude towards it

  • B2B FinTech sales experience a plus

  • Strong record of success both building and closing client pipelines in excess of $500,000 per annum.

  • Deep understanding of private markets and the challenges faced by private capital.

  • Familiarity with portfolio valuation and monitoring tools.

  • Understanding of the regulatory and audit pressures (e.g. increasing frequency of NAV reporting, auditor scrutiny) driving private capital firms to modernize their valuation function.

  • Strong presentation skills, especially for face-to-face meetings with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, adept at influencing decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Proficiency with market leading CRM software and sales tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high growth scale-up environment an advantage.

  • Experience in the private equity and/or venture capital sectors.

Hybrid Work at 73 Strings

Based in New York, this role requires occasional travel to meet clients and attend industry events. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, balancing in-person collaboration and remote productivity.
