The Account Supervisor plays a critical role in leading day-to-day account execution while contributing to earned media strategy, executive visibility programs, and team leadership. This position is well suited for an experienced operator who brings strong media relationships, can balance client leadership, project management, and creative earned thinking within an integrated brand environment.

Key Responsibilities Client & Account Management

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

  • Lead key workstreams across consumer brand marketing, owning timelines, deliverables, and day-to-day execution.

  • Own weekly client status updates, trackers, agendas, and recaps to ensure clarity, momentum, and accountability across teams.

Earned Media & Brand Visibility

  • Lead earned media execution across consumer beauty and personal care, with a focus on culturally relevant, timely storytelling.

  • Support executive visibility programs, driving strategic earned opportunities including media profiling, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and awards.

  • Partner with earned media and content teams to develop proactive story ideas, pitch strategies, and visibility plans.

  • Apply cultural moments, trends, and insights to develop compelling earned angles that connect brands to what matters now.

  • Draft and edit high-quality content, including press releases, key messages, Q&As, bylines, op-eds, executive bios, award submissions, and elevator pitches.

Campaigns, Activations & Project Management

  • Play a leading role in the execution of brand activations such as media events, press trips, partnerships, and earned mailers – from planning through execution and post-program reporting.

  • Act as a project manager across multiple scopes of work, owning workback schedules, deliverables, and internal coordination.

  • Collaborate with internal leads to maintain master trackers, timelines, agendas, and recaps across concurrent workstreams.

  • Bring an earned-first mindset to campaign planning, content development, and integrated brand storytelling.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Manage budgets with increasing independence, including tracking spend, overseeing vendor invoicing, and ensuring financial accuracy.

  • Support scope management and resourcing needs; experience drafting scopes of work is a plus.

  • Step in to support project management responsibilities across multiple active scopes when needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and ongoing coaching.

  • Foster strong collaboration across earned, strategy, content, and project management teams.

  • Commit to continuous learning and leadership development, including the use of emerging tools and technologies.

Values & Ways of Working

  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Edelman’s values – Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Mutual Benefit.

  • Bring curiosity, accountability, and a collaborative mindset to all work.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or related fields (agency experience strongly preferred).

  • Experience supporting consumer brands, with consumer health, wellness, or personal care experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong earned media background, including strong experience building and maintaining relationships across traditional and digital outlets.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate cultural trends and insights into earned brand storytelling.

  • Experience supporting executive visibility or corporate reputation initiatives.

  • Proven account and project management skills, including budget oversight.

  • Familiarity with medical, legal, and regulatory review processes and tools is highly preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, integrated agency environment.

  • Fluency in leveraging AI tools to enhance content creation, communications planning, and data-informed engagement.
