Account Supervisor, Digital & Social Strategy

Location: Chicago, Detroit, or Minneapolis

Do you like helping brands win the internet? We are seeking a social-first strategist and high-impact leader to join our Webby and Shorty Award-winning Midwest Digital & Social team as an Account Supervisor.
This isn't a role for a status-quo doer; we need a social-savvy "strategic engine" who can mine data for human truths one hour and pilot AI-driven workflows the next. Joining a team with massive momentum, you will build digital and social ecosystems that move beyond simple execution into the realm of never-done-before innovation. You will serve as the calm, confident connective tissue across our hybrid PR, creative, and paid media teams—acting as a trusted advisor who proactively recommends bold strategies and seizes reactive cultural moments to defend and scale our clients’ brand reputations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day digital and social activities and deliverables, including multi-channel content calendars, high-impact creative, and sophisticated paid-social integrations.
  • Lead the development of digital ecosystems, moving beyond simple execution to build strategies rooted in social-first insights and business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and primary digital lead for clients, proactively recommending channel architectures and content frameworks.
  • Utilize social listening and data mining tools to uncover opportunities and actionable white space for brands.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between PR, creative, and paid media teams to ensure digital strategy makes the entire agency’s work more effective.
  • Research, pilot, and apply emerging technologies and AI tools/agents to give clients a competitive edge.
  • Oversee account administration duties including resource allocation, monthly billing, and budget forecasting to ensure profitability.
  • Mentor junior team members, teaching the "why" behind the strategy and setting a high bar for professional digital fluency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+years of experience in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment with a specific focus on digital and social strategy.
  • Proven track record of contributing to high-impact, award-winning digital campaigns.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of the social landscape, creator trends, and the technical mechanics of platform algorithms.
  • Ability to translate complex data into simple, thumb-stopping creative briefs and long-term brand frameworks.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills with the ability to present with conviction and lead client communications with a proactive, strategic voice.
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in social listening, analytics, and project management tools, with a passion for adopting new AI-driven productivity tools.
  • Previous work portfolio preferred but not required.
Salary range is $70,000-80,000. The salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and dependent upon the workplace.
