Own end-to-end OPEX operations (AP, corporate card, reimbursements), build and optimize finance workflows (Ramp), perform spend and vendor analysis across key categories, manage corporate card program and policy compliance, support month-end OPEX accruals and reconciliations, and serve as the primary finance contact for expense inquiries and process improvements.
What is Bilt?
Bilt is the membership for where you live.
What started as a way to reward people on their largest expense has turned into an ecosystem connecting our members, property managers and local merchants.
Travel, dining, fitness, everyday spend. We are building systems across payments, credit, loyalty, and commerce all at once.
We run lean and move quickly. Every person here has a real impact on what gets built and how fast it happens.
This role comes with real ownership and high expectations. If you prefer clearly defined lanes and structure, this will feel uncomfortable. If you want to build quickly, have a real say in what gets built, and work on products used by millions, you will likely do your best work here.
What's the role?
Bilt's Finance team is growing, and we're looking for a Accounting and Finance Operations Analyst to own the day-to-day engine of our finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll run end-to-end OPEX operations — accounts payable, corporate card management, reimbursements — while building and optimizing the systems and workflows that power it all. You'll also be the go-to finance partner for every team at Bilt when it comes to expenses, vendor management, and spend analysis.
This is a high-touch, cross-functional role on a 9-person Finance team. You'll dig into OPEX data across software, marketing, T&E, and payroll to surface insights that drive smarter cost management. If you're hungry to learn, thrive on building processes from the ground up, and want to be where financial decisions are made — this is it.
In this role, you will...
- Own end-to-end OPEX operations, including accounts payable, corporate card, and reimbursement review and approval
- Drive the build-out and continuous optimization of core finance and accounting workflows and systems, including Ramp and internal data infrastructure
- Deliver in-depth analysis across key OPEX categories — including software, marketing, T&E, and payroll — to surface insights and support cost management
- Partner with cross-functional teams to lead vendor management efforts, including spend analysis, OPEX-focused contract review, and coordinating vendor additions/terminations
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for expense-related inquiries across all teams
- Manage and maintain the company's corporate card program, ensuring policy compliance and timely reconciliation
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in AP and reimbursement workflows
- Support month-end close activities related to OPEX accruals and reconciliations
In terms of qualifications, we're seeking:
Must Have:
- 1-2+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations or a related field
- Foundational accounting knowledge — solid understanding of debits, credits, and core accounting principles
- Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence — you'll work with every team at Bilt
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn financial tools and platforms (Ramp, banking platforms)
Nice to Have:
- Experience working at a startup or high-growth company
- Hands-on experience with Ramp or similar AP/expense management platforms
- Prior experience in accounts payable, expense management, or financial operations
Benefits
- Compensation — We offer a competitive salary with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and our performance bonus program
- Health insurance for you (& your loved ones) from day one — Enjoy a One Medical Membership, wellness stipends, family programs and more, on us. We've got you and your family covered from day one.
- 401k plan with a match — Retirement may feel more like a pipe dream than a reality but we're here to help you get there.
- Commuter FSAs — We believe the best ideas come from being together in one place. We just don't think getting there should be so expensive.
- UNLIMITED PTO — Because we believe that working hard shouldn't mean always working. Take time for you as often as you need it.
- Exclusive Employee only Bilt Points — We give our employees unique opportunities to earn points throughout their time at Bilt.
At Bilt, we believe in transparency and we do our best to make sure the company and our candidates are on the same page as it relates to compensation. In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and Bilt's salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.
We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.
Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes — should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.
The salary range for a Accounting and Finance Operations Analyst is $80,000-$100,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.
