About The Role

We're hiring an Accounting Manager to build the accounting function - this is the first full-time accounting hire at the company. You'll own the general ledger and monthly close, accounts payable and vendor payments, invoicing and collections, and the tax and compliance filings that support them. Near-term priorities include establishing the close calendar, building a chart of accounts for management reporting, automating reconciliations, and selecting the ERP we'll scale on. The role reports to the Head of Finance & Operations; it starts hands-on with third-party contractor support and can grow into managing a small accounting team.

What You'll Do
  • Own the monthly close end to end: calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables; deliver monthly financials to leadership

  • Own the general ledger, chart of accounts, and department structure; maintain accrual, prepaid, and fixed asset schedules

  • Own accounts payable end to end: intake, coding, approval routing, and payment runs in Ramp

  • Manage vendor onboarding, tax documentation, and international wire payments; apply procurement and expense policy

  • Invoice customers and manage collections

  • Write and maintain accounting policies and internal controls; prepare the company for its first financial statement audit

  • Apply AI tooling to reconciliation, analysis, and documentation workflows

What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to public accounting or in-house accounting at a scaling company

  • Ability to own a monthly close end to end - planning, execution, and accountability for the result

  • Experience designing or rebuilding an accounting process from the ground up

  • Hands-on experience with a general ledger system and a modern expense or AP platform (e.g. Ramp)

  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment with broad scope and shifting priorities

  • Expertise and willingness to use AI tools in day-to-day accounting workflows

Bonus Points
  • CPA or CPA-track

  • SaaS experience

  • Experience preparing for or supporting a first financial statement audit

  • Familiarity with ERP selection or implementation at an early-stage company

We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse company. We do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race.
