What you’ll do  

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records and in developing scalable and sustainable processes as the business grows. You will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of expense reporting at both the consolidated and entity levels, owning the attribution and allocation of costs across all business dimensions. In addition to overseeing our global cost structure, you will design and implement the cost-tracking framework to support the Capital One integration. By partnering with FP&A, Business Systems, and HR teams, you will build the systems to track and report integration-related costs. The Accounting Manager is expected to manage multiple priorities concurrently without compromising quality, accuracy or completeness. 

*Must be willing/able to work onsite 3 days/ week at one of our hub offices

Responsibilities 

  • Full ownership of the cost side of P&L reporting by managing expense allocation and attribution across department, class and vertical as well as between legal entities
  • Design and implement the framework necessary to report net-new integration costs to support Capital One and management reporting
  • Ownership of the end-to-end process for internal-use software in accordance with ASC 350-40, including managing the engineering survey, ensuring the accuracy of capitalized labor, and leading the transition to align our methodology with Capital One’s global accounting standards 
  • Create sustainable, repeatable and scalable processes, including the review and update of process documentation 
  • Ensure timely close through the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations and variance analytics, as well as coordination with FP&A 
  • Identify and deliver process improvements via automation, AI initiatives and cross functional collaboration
  • Play a strategic role and serve as the primary liaison between accounting, finance, and the broader business organization for new initiatives and projects in your domain

Requirements 

  • College graduate with a 4-year degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of public accounting and/or private industry experience 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and address difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Innovative and able to provide “outside of the box” solutions 
  • Passion for having an owner’s mentality towards responsibilities and for career growth
  • Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

  • A combination of public accounting and private industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and/or Google Gemini

Compensation

The expected OTE range for this role is $131,080 - $163,850 USD. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. This OTE range reflects a standard work week, however, as an hourly employee if you exceed these hours, you will be paid overtime. The OTE figure listed here includes base compensation and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance.  Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation.
