Job Summary

Essen Health Care is currently seeking a Senior Accountant: The desired candidate will be responsible assist with the month-end financial closing, including review of account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, communication with internal and external stakeholders as well as supervision of staff accounting team members. The candidate also needs to be a strong critical thinker who pays attention to details, is a self-starter and a team player. The candidate should also possess the desire to expand their skill set and grow with the Company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the month-end close process for multiple subsidiaries.

    · Assist with the preparation of various financial schedules.

    · Perform P&L and balance sheet monthly account reconciliations.

    · Perform intercompany reconciliations for multiple subsidiaries.

    · Experience with accruals, prepaid expense, fixed assets and leases.

    · Monitor and record leasing activities.

    · Experience with payroll accrual calculation, journal entries, and payroll accounts reconciliation.

    · Daily cash recording and perform bank reconciliation for multiple subsidiaries.

    · Experience with financial trend analysis and variance explanation.

    · Prepare journal entries and review of accounting classifications, in accordance with GAAP.

    · Experience working with large data files to assign proper department and expense.

    · Comfortable communicating to internal and external stakeholders in both a remote and in person environment

    · Assist with the year-end audit and responsible for the completion of the audited consolidated financial statements for Essen healthcare.

    · Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    · CPA a plus

    · Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), consolidations and allocations

    · 2-5 years of professional accounting experience with supervisory experience

    · Experience with preparation of financial statements

    · Highly detail oriented and organized

    · Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth environment

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    · Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

    · Intermediate or advanced level of proficiency with MS word and excel (building spreadsheets/pivot tables/v-lookups/ formulas) a must

    · Experience working with NetSuite preferred

    · Ability to maintain confidentiality

    · Healthcare experience preferred
