Your role in helping us shape the future:

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. The Account Executive will work as part of the U.S. News Health vertical, helping to drive the success of marketing solutions in the pharma and life sciences space.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales, client relations, and marketing strategy, as well as exposure to working with product teams. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with an entrepreneurial attitude and able to work independently in a sales capacity, demonstrating initiative and ownership across the full sales cycle.

Only Local New York applicants will be considered.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Drive new business and deliver growth against defined revenue targets. Generate leads, exceed sales targets, and research the marketplace for continued sources of revenue.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through excellent service and attending external events/conferences. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow relationships and revenue.
  • Develop domain expertise in the pharma and life sciences industry, understanding how U.S. News’s content, rankings, and marketing services align with client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate client feedback into product enhancements and communicate desired updates to product and technology teams.
  • Support product launches by helping communicate new opportunities to clients and prospects across campaigns and key ranking cycles.

 

Position Requirements

You should definitely have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of similar or related experience in the field of digital advertising sales, with a track record of being able to hit and exceed quarterly revenue goals.
  • Experience selling marketing solutions, multi-platform programs, and growing client relationships
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel to industry events and represent U.S. News as needed

 

It would be nice if you had:

 

  • Experience in the healthcare, pharma, or life sciences industries
  • Experience securing early adopter clients and building a client base for a new product
  • Experience collaborating with product management teams

  • The base salary for this position is $100,000-$130,000 with a meaningful commission plan.The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
