As a Relationship Manager, you will represent both the client and JPMorgan, ensuring alignment and delivery on current and future securities lending agendas.
Job summary:
Agency Securities Finance (“ASF”) is a global business within Securities Services, a division in the Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”) of JPMorgan Chase. The ASF business is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager based in New York. You will be responsible for business development, relationship management, revenue optimization, and performance attribution for your clients’ lending programs. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the business delivers on the client’s strategic objectives.
Job responsibilities:
• Develop and execute an annual strategy plan (updated periodically) with focus on retention, strengthening existing relationships, and revenue optimization
• Responsible for organic growth in the form of additional mandates and general client wallet expansion
• Understand all contractual obligations for assigned clients and ensure program is operating within those parameters
• Partner with global ASF trading and investment desks on revenue optimization opportunities and present them to clients as applicable
• Ensure consistent messaging, planning, and penetration strategies between ASF and Platform Sales
• Serve as client advocate across trading, operations, client service, risk, credit, technology, and product
• When issues occur, take responsibility for escalation, messaging to client, and identifying a timely and effective resolution.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Proven success developing and managing client relationships
• Experience in the Agency Securities Finance industry
• Ability to think strategically and build persuasive arguments to drive business results
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly to a senior audience
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with internal product partners across regions
• Strong understanding of regulatory, tax, and market events and identify implications to lending program
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize across client coverage and internal partners
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Qlik Sense, and Tableau
• An excellent team player with a strong work ethic
