  • Develop scenario-based learning activities that reflect real humanitarian work contexts and challenges
  • Ensure all learning materials adhere to adult learning principles, are optimized for low-bandwidth environments where applicable, and are available in core IRC languages where needed
  • Integrate principles of responsible AI use, data protection, and ethical considerations into all learning materials
  • Promote awareness of AI risks, limitations, and appropriate use cases in humanitarian contexts

  • Partner closely with the AI Staff and Culture Task Force and other AI working groups to align learning initiatives with organizational AI strategy
  • Gather feedback from learners and conduct regular needs assessments with staff across regions and departments to identify learning gaps, determine effectiveness, and establish priorities
  • Collaborate with IT, Data, and other technical teams to stay current on AI tool implementations and changes, and where to integrate learning touchpoints into technology platforms
  • Equip a cohort of “learner-teachers” across departments and managers with contextual AI skills, habits and language

Learning Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track learning metrics including participation rates, completion rates, skill assessments, and learner satisfaction
  • Analyze learning data to identify trends, measure impact, and demonstrate ROI of AI capacity building efforts
