AI Strategist

We’re hiring AI Strategists to work directly with enterprise customers at the intersection of AI systems, brand visibility, and strategy.

This role is customer-facing and applied, with significant ownership over how insights are generated, communicated, and translated into action. You’ll work closely with Fortune 500 brands to help them understand how they surface across AI systems—and what to do about it—while partnering closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams.

This role is less about publishing research and more about turning complex AI behavior into clear strategic direction for customers.

• Partner with Fortune 500 brands as a strategic guide through the AI discovery landscape

• Analyze how brands surface across AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude

• Perform applied analysis on LLM behavior, prompt patterns, and visibility mechanics

• Lead customer-facing analyses and synthesize findings into clear strategic recommendations

• Translate customer edge cases into product insights and feature direction

• Conduct competitive visibility and gap analyses across AI search platforms

• Bridge technical complexity and strategic clarity in every client interaction

• 5–8+ years of experience in roles such as:

  • BizOps at a growth-stage tech company

  • Technical or analytics-focused consulting

  • Search, growth, or platform strategy roles

• Experience shaping search strategy, content architecture, or growth systems at scale

• Strong intuition for how search and discovery have evolved (PageRank → modern AI systems)

• Comfort working with data and analytical outputs

• Experience translating technical concepts into strategic guidance for non-technical audiences

• Strong communication skills and executive presence in customer-facing settings

• Comfort operating at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success

• Curious and pattern-oriented; able to synthesize signal from noisy systems

• Comfortable owning workstreams end-to-end

• Proactive in identifying implications, risks, and next steps

This is an on-site role in our Union Square office—working in-person with a team that moves fast and thinks deeply.

For this role, the expected base salary range is $130,000 – $180,000, depending on experience. Profound’s total compensation package includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks. Final compensation will depend on factors such as your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and will be determined during the interview process.
