The Role and Location: New York (hybrid, part-time)

Our AlixAlumni program is a key driver of growth for the firm. We have big ambitions for the future and are seeking an Alumni Engagement Intern to help us build on our success to date.

This is a paid part-time internship in New York, NY reporting to the Employee and Alumni Relations Senior Specialist and will be approximately 6 to 8 months in length and generally 15-20 hours a week. Paid relocation and benefits are not available for this position.

What you’ll do

You will gain experience in marketing events, content creation, platform management, and data analysis, along with  the opportunity to learn from others in AlixPartners and our Employer Brand Marketing and Communications team.

Your work may vary daily, but will include:

  • Updating the alumni database to ensure that alumni records are as accurate as possible.
  • Creating alumni event materials including event communications, briefings, and nametags.
  • Researching alumni to be featured in our alumni spotlight series.
  • Sourcing and updating our AlixAlumni online community portal with new content including jobs, alumni spotlights, alumni news, and event information.
  • Supporting the employee offboarding process and ensuring accurate information on all departing employees is captured.
  • Assisting with developing alumni communications including our global newsletters and social media posts.
  • Monitoring a critical metric reporting suite and supporting the generation of monthly KPI reports.

What you will bring

  • Pursuing, or recently earned, an undergraduate degree in an applicable field of study.
  • Interest in alumni relations, marketing/communications, event management, community marketing, or a related field.
  • Ambitious and collaborative approach including the ability to multi‐task in a high-performing environment.
  • Analytical and capable of managing related reports and metrics.
  • High attention to detail in order to plan, track, and measure the smooth and timely delivery of projects.
  • Interest and/or experience in CRM systems, including databases and event management tools.
  • Proactive self-starter with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Professional communication skills both verbally and written in English with the ability to deliver clear messages and collaborate effectively within and across teams.
  • Comfortable learning how to leveraging firm-approved AI tools and technology to support day-to-day work efficiencies, streamline tasks, and enhance productivity.
  • Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work part-time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $20/hr. - $25/hr.
