Analyst or Associate, Wealth Management (Internal Sales)

Overview:
Adams Street Partners is actively looking to expand its Wealth Management team to satisfy the needs of our growing client base. The position will be based out of our New York office. This “client focused” individual will not only be a central resource and relationship manager for their assigned territory but will actively engage with prospective clients through cold outreach. This position will provide a superior level of service to our prospective and existing investors across a diverse mix of private wealth channels including private banks, wirehouses, independent broker dealers, RIAs, and family offices. This person will assist in managing distribution relationships by facilitating business production, creative selling, and problem resolution. Given Adams Street’s collaborative culture, this role requires exceptional organizational and client servicing skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple fundraising initiatives and other priorities to support a growing business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generating new leads and prospecting accounts through cold/warm calling, emailing, LinkedIn, etc. daily
- Working in sync alongside external partner(s) to help schedule both in-person and virtual meetings throughout their respective territory, in addition to providing continued support on prospect follow-up throughout the sales cycle
- Servicing existing clients with impromptu needs and being readily available to handle time sensitive inquiries
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with team members to establish and achieve sales targets.
- Utilizing SalesForce CRM for all interactions that lead to reports on sales activity and production as required
- Actively reviewing the team’s opportunity pipeline to accurately reflect the latest developments across our prospective and client accounts
- Maintaining successful relationships with colleagues including but not limited to the broader investor relations team, investment teams, product strategy, client operations, marketing and investment strategy and risk management.
- Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge base of Adams Street product offerings, industry trends, competitive landscape, and the universe of prospective clients across assigned regions
- Consistently looking for “value adds” through service and selling ideas
- Preparing and delivering customized client-facing materials in response to prospective and existing client requests
Requirements:
We seek an individual who is hungry, organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and demonstrates creative thinking. Candidates will have the following characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a business focus. CFA/CAIA preferred
- 1-4 years’ experience as an internal salesperson
- Knowledgeable about private market investment strategies and genuinely curious about public/private market news
- Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-starter who loves to go above and beyond expectations
- Possesses the ability to plan, organize, develop, and deliver effective plans / presentations to a targeted audience
- Knowledge of HNW/UHNW investors and/or family offices preferred
