Lazard is seeking an Analyst with relevant full time experience to become an integral member of the group, joining a small transaction team which provides financial advisory services to the firm’s clients within the Technology space. Day-to-day responsibilities of an investment banking analyst include financial analysis and modeling, company and industry research, participating in the development of client presentations and interacting with senior bankers and clients. Assignments fall into a range of categories, including M&A, divestitures, general and strategic advisory, restructuring and capital markets. This position is available in New York. 

We’ll trust you to

  • Create and prepare client presentations and marketing materials  
  • Build complex financial models and perform valuation and other analytical exercises 
  • Conduct detailed industry research and competitive analyses 
  • Execute deal processes, support due diligence and liaise with the client or other advisors 

You’ll need to have

  • A top-performer mindset, with the comfort to operate in an unstructured environment that values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise 
  • Prior investment banking work experience, and a passion for the Technology industry (no prior Technology experience required) 
  • A strong quantitative background and analytical skills 
  • Familiarity with quantitative work and client interaction alike, regardless of your specific background 
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, FactSet, Bloomberg and Pitchbook 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment 
  • Motivation to work as a team player and contribute to a positive team culture 
  • Fluency in the use of AI tools and prompt engineering

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $120,000 - $125,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
