Senior Associate - Business/Technology Analyst
Be an Early Applicant
Supports private fixed-income investment teams by improving origination, underwriting, portfolio management, reporting, and technology workflows. Partners with investment, Operations, and IT teams to gather requirements, maintain investment platforms, build dashboards and reports, automate data integration, support AI-enabled tools, and implement platform enhancements. Develops analyses and materials for credit monitoring, portfolio surveillance, and investment committees.

Senior Associate - Business/Technology Analyst
NYLIM Private Fixed Income is seeking a Senior Associate to serve as a business analyst supporting our investment teams' origination, underwriting, and portfolio management processes. This individual will partner closely with investment professionals to improve the tools, reporting, and workflows that support the evaluation and monitoring of a portfolio of privately placed, investment-grade securities, including corporate, infrastructure, and private ABS transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
Investment Process Support & Business Analysis
• Partner with investment professionals to support origination, underwriting, and portfolio management workflows across private investment-grade transactions.
• Gather business requirements and translate investment team needs into scalable reporting, dashboards, and technology solutions.
• Assist in developing tools, templates, and analyses that support underwriting, credit monitoring, portfolio surveillance, and investment committee materials.
Platform Management & Reporting
• Own and maintain the deal/portfolio management platforms used to track investments pipeline and portfolio activity across PFI and ABF.
• Build dashboards, reports, and workflows that support credit monitoring, deal tracking, and investment committee materials, reducing manual data gathering for portfolio managers and analysts.
• Support the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled tools for credit memo drafting, covenant monitoring, and portfolio reporting.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Investments team and Operations/IT on platform enhancements, data integration, and systems issues affecting investment workflows.
• Develop or maintain basic SQL, Python, or similar scripts to support data integration, reporting automation, and platform functionality.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience in investment management, financial services, or a business analyst/platform support role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process improvement skills.
• Hands-on experience with operational/analytical systems in an investment management environment.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools for data integration and reporting automation.
• Experience supporting system implementations, platform enhancements, API integrations, or technology rollouts in partnership with Operations and IT.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both investment professionals and technical teams, translating business needs into technology solutions.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
