Executive Director – Annuity Product Strategy & Income Solutions

Executive Director, Annuity Product Strategy & Income Solutions to lead the firm’s annuity product innovation, carrier engagement, and retirement income strategy. This individual will be responsible for identifying emerging market opportunities, evaluating competitive product offerings, influencing product development with insurance carrier partners, and driving the firm’s long-term growth strategy within the rapidly evolving retirement income landscape.

The role will leverage AI and data-driven insights to identify unmet client needs, optimize product design, evaluate market opportunities, and improve retirement income outcomes. A key focus will include the development of a retirement income glidepath framework and the build-out of advisory annuity solutions to support scalable, portfolio-based client outcomes.

As demographic trends accelerate demand for retirement income solutions, this role will serve as a critical bridge between insurance carriers, advisors, and clients—ensuring the firm maintains a differentiated, competitive, and client-centric offering in one of the fastest-growing segments of wealth management.

Core Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Lead the development and scaling of advisory annuity solutions aligned with fee-based and discretionary platforms
  • Design and implement retirement income glidepath strategies, incorporating annuities with protection and income
  • Identify gaps in the current platform and collaborate with carriers to design differentiated solutions
  • Develop and execute the firm’s annuity and retirement income product strategy
  • Influence product development across fixed, indexed, and structured income solutions
  • Lead due diligence and evaluation of new products and retirement strategies
  • Leverage AI and analytics to inform product design, client segmentation, and income optimization

Carrier & Industry Engagement

  • Serve as a senior relationship lead for key insurance carrier partners
  • Engage with carrier executives, product leaders, and actuaries to shape innovation pipelines
  • Represent the firm in strategic discussions across industry organizations and partnerships

Advisor & Client Solutions

  • Develop and deliver retirement income frameworks, positioning, and use cases that drive advisor adoption
  • Translate glidepath and advisory annuity strategies into actionable client solutions
  • Partner with advisors and specialist teams to integrate income solutions into holistic wealth planning
  • Create and oversee the development of income-focused educational content for advisors and clients, including thought leadership, training materials, use cases, and portfolio construction guidance
  • Ensure messaging articulates the role of annuities within broader wealth and retirement planning strategies

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with product management, advisor platforms, investments, legal, compliance, marketing, and distribution teams
  • Support successful product launches, platform integration, and field enablement efforts
  • Align product strategy with broader firm initiatives and advisor needs

Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership

  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and demographic shifts
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis across annuity products and retirement income solutions
  • Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership in retirement income strategy and innovation
