Genesis
Consulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Application
Developer to support full
life cycle application development on various platforms for a state agency to
enhance the quality of life for citizens. Developers will be building and
maintaining systems that provide temporary assistance to eligible citizens. The
hardware and software platforms include but are not limited to IBM, UNISYS
mainframe, Microsoft Windows client servers, and SUN/UNIX. This team will
enhance and maintain applications utilized throughout the agency enabling the
delivery of timely services.
State agency has increased
demand for full lifecycle application development across multiple computer platforms.
This includes various client eligibility and recertification systems,
employment and work engagement services, claims systems, and other critical
programs. These applications require periodic refinements and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and functionality,
- Build system and system documentation.
- Create and prepare documents for the general
design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including selecting
alternative approaches.
- Develop specifications for databases,
communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage, and software
configurations.
- Develop structured diagrams for the
specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage
area networks, security, or network programs.
- Build and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored
Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 12c.
- Develop operational and installation
procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage,
and software.
- Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of
new operational procedures to support databases, hardware systems,
operating systems software, network systems software, security, and client-server
systems.
- Develop, compile, maintain, and document
configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security
and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and
communication systems.
- Perform System Coding
- Create the program code in .NET and Low Code
Application Platform (LCAP) environment.
- Provide general programming assistance to
other programmers/projects as may be needed.
- Test and maintain the program code ensuring it
meets all the functional requirements
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications/Experience:
· Minimum 4 years of development and maintenance of PL/SQL packages, stored
procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 12c.
· Minimum 4 years of performance tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL,
PL/SQL code.
· Minimum 4 years working with XML processing, and object-oriented
programming with large objects.
· Minimum 4 years’ experience with data structures, data manipulation,
databases, design, programming, testing and implementation.
· Minimum 4 years’ experience with technical and user documentation, and software
conversion.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration, or another related field.

· Candidates must provide 2 accessible references who can speak to
experience from the past 24 months.
· Candidates must meet all qualifications to be considered.
