At Havenly Brands, we’re on a mission to make beautiful homes accessible to everyone. Since 2014, our Denver‑based company has grown into the number‑one interior‑design service in the country and expanded our family of brands to include Interior Define, Burrow, The Citizenry, The Inside and St. Frank. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate, detail‑oriented people to help us shape the future of home furnishings.

We’re seeking an Assistant Sourcing Manager based in New York to support our Furniture Sourcing Manager in overseeing the sourcing of upholstered furniture. In this role you’ll help manage vendor relationships, coordinate RFPs, maintain bills of materials and assist with cost analysis. You’ll work closely with design, product development and operations to ensure that our products meet aesthetic and functional requirements while achieving cost and margin targets. This position is ideal for someone with early‑to‑mid experience in sourcing or supply chain who is eager to grow into a leadership role.

What you’ll do
  • Support vendor management & sourcing: Assist in identifying and evaluating upholstery manufacturers and material suppliers across Asia, Europe and the United States. Maintain supplier databases, organize business reviews and support onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate RFPs & contract administration: Help draft RFPs, compare proposals and negotiate sample pricing and terms. Track contract deliverables and manage purchase orders and sample requests through completion.
  • Maintain BOMs & cost data: Update and maintain detailed bills of materials (BOMs)—the comprehensive lists of materials, components and operations needed to manufacture each product. Gather cost inputs for frames, foam, fabrics, hardware and packaging and assist with cost analysis and budgeting.
  • Packaging & logistics coordination: Work with suppliers and internal teams to confirm packaging specifications, order custom packaging and ensure that finished goods are packed efficiently and sustainably.
  • Assist with supplier discovery & AI tools: Use AI‑enabled search platforms and market databases to research new suppliers and support vendor discovery.
  • Cross‑functional communication: Serve as the liaison between sourcing, design, product development and operations, ensuring that everyone has up‑to‑date information on materials, costs and lead times. Facilitate sample review meetings and track action items.
  • Quality & sustainability oversight: Help review samples for workmanship and durability and work with vendors to address issues. Ensure that suppliers adhere to ethical and environmental standards.
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply‑Chain Management, Business, Industrial Design or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain management, preferably in furniture or consumer goods.
  • Familiarity with furniture construction and materials; ability to understand how raw materials, labor and packaging contribute to finished‑goods pricing.
  • Experience maintaining BOMs and working with ERP/MRP systems or advanced spreadsheets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • AI proficiency or openness: Willingness to learn and leverage AI‑driven tools for supplier discovery, cost analysis and market research.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
About you
  • You are detail‑oriented and enjoy creating order out of complexity.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to support cross‑functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • You are proactive and curious, always looking for ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies to enhance your work.
  • You care about quality and sustainability and want to deliver products you’re proud of.
