Compensation: $150,000–$185,000, plus bonus

Position Summary:

MedElite is seeking an Associate Counsel to provide practical legal support across its multistate healthcare services organization. This attorney will advise leadership on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, employment, contractual, and general corporate matters. This is a hands-on, business-oriented role within a rapidly growing healthcare services company, requiring an attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of legal matters and working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on healthcare regulatory, reimbursement, compliance, and operational matters.
  • Manage responses to governmental and third-party inquiries, reviews, and information requests.
  • Provide employment-law guidance, including policies, accommodations, discipline, and terminations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate provider, employment, vendor, and commercial agreements.
  • Research legal developments and recommend practical risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Manage outside counsel when specialized legal expertise is required.
  • Support general corporate and legal matters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • JD and active New York bar membership.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Healthcare law experience, preferably representing healthcare providers.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, reimbursement, and healthcare compliance.
  • Employment-law and general corporate experience.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
