Position Summary

The Associate Director, Creator Activation is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end creator activation excellence across Omnicom’s managed influencer programs. This role owns activation strategy in practice, ensuring creator programs are executed with rigor, consistency, and innovation while directly supporting client business outcomes. 
The Associate Director serves as the day-to-day activation lead for complex accounts, a people manager for Managers and Specialists, and a strategic partner to Account, Paid Social, Strategy, Investment, and Operations teams. This role balances hands-on oversight with team leadership, escalation management, and process stewardship. 

Responsibilities

Activation Leadership & Strategic Ownership 

  • Own activation approach and execution for larges cale and/or high complexity creator programs, from brief through post campaign wrap. 
  • Translate client objectives and creator strategies into clear activation plans, including creator mix, tiering, timelines, and deliverables. 
  • Ensure all creator activations align with:  
    • Brand objectives and audience insights 
    • Platform best practices and FTC guidelines 
    • Paid amplification and measurement frameworks 
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities early; proactively escalate and course correct as needed.

Creator Campaign Execution 

  • Oversee and quality check:  
    • Creator sourcing, vetting, and recommendations 
    • Outreach, negotiation, and contracting workflows 
    • Content review, approvals, and delivery timelines 
  • Ensure executional excellence across:  
    • Creator onboarding 
    • Content ideation and feedback loops 
    • Reporting, recaps, and learnings 
  • Partner closely with Paid Social teams to ensure creator content is optimized for amplification and performance.

People Management & Team Development 

  • Directly manage Managers, Senior Specialists, and/or Specialists within Creator Activation. 
  • Set clear expectations for quality, timelines, and ownership across accounts. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management. 
  • Support career development and progression planning for junior team members. 
  • Act as the escalation point for team challenges, resourcing needs, and workload balancing.

Cross- Functional Partnership 

  • Serve as the activation counterpart to Account, Strategy, Creative, Investment, and Operations leads. 
  • Collaborate with Strategy partners to ensure creator strategies are executable at scale. 
  • Work with Investment and Finance partners to ensure:  
    • Budget alignment 
    • Contract compliance 
    • Accurate tracking and reconciliation 
  • Ensure all creator campaigns are accurately entered and maintained in internal trackers and platforms. 
  • Uphold best practices for documentation, contracts, and approvals. 
  • Contribute to the evolution of Omnicom Influencer’s creator activation standards, templates, and workflows. 
  • Support activation POVs, case studies, and internal knowledge sharing. 

Required Skills & Experience
  • 6–8+ years of experience in influencer / creator marketing, social activation, or adjacent media roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end creator activations across multiple platforms. 
  • Proven people management experience, including coaching and performance feedback. 
  • Strong understanding of:  
    • Creator ecosystems and platforms 
    • Paid social amplification 
    • Measurement and reporting best practices 
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

The salary range for this position is posted below.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
