The Associate Director, Industry Strategy supports Acxiom's consumer industry team across retail, QSR, sports and other consumer verticals. The role builds industry specific knowledge and owns the response process for inbound RFIs and RFPs, making sure every submission is accurate, on message, and delivered on time. This role also supports existing client opportunities, strategic upsell conversations, proactive sales enablement, and thought leadership that help accelerate the business.
This is a growth role. Over time, the Associate Director takes on broader industry strategy work, moving from managing responses and repositories toward shaping the strategies behind them. Success means proposals go out sharper and faster, and the knowledge that feeds them is well organized and easy to reuse.

COMPETENCIES 

  • Strategic Opportunity Management: (includes RFPs, RFIs, client presentations, and upsell opportunities) Own the intake, coordination, and delivery of proposal responses, keeping submissions accurate, consistent, and on schedule. 

  • Industry Strategy & Go-to-Market: Develop industry-specific positioning, value propositions, use cases, messaging, and sales materials that translate Acxiom's capabilities into solutions for consumer industries. 

  • Content and Knowledge Management: Maintain the response repositories and reusable content so the team can move quickly on new opportunities. 

  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Pull the right input from product, delivery, and sales teams to build strong, well supported responses. 

  • Writing and Communication: Produce clear, persuasive written material that reflects Acxiom's value and differentiators. 

  • Attention to Detail: Keep quality high across every submission, from formatting and accuracy to messaging and compliance. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage the end to end response process for RFIs and RFPs across the consumer industry team. 

  • Maintain and improve the content repositories that support proposal responses. 

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Strategy, Product, Strategic Advisors, Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams to develop industry positioning, support strategic opportunities, and accurate client-facing messaging. 

  • Build industry specific knowledge across retail, QSR, and sports over time. 

  • Support the broader industry strategy team with research, materials, and analysis. 

  • Track submission outcomes and feed lessons learned back into the response process. 

  • Grow into deeper industry strategy work as knowledge and scope expand. 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in proposal management, industry strategy, marketing, or a related client facing role. 

  • Strong writing skills, with experience producing clear and persuasive proposal or marketing content. 

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple submissions at once. 

  • Interest in building deep knowledge of consumer industries and the data and martech landscape. 

  • Comfort coordinating input across teams and holding contributors to deadlines. 

  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills. 

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
