This Role

Norm Law, the world’s first AI-native full-service law firm – built with engineering at its core and reimagining and transforming the way lawyers work and legal services provided to the world’s leading institutions - is seeking inquisitive and energetic lawyers looking to practice law and augment their career utilizing, and contributing to the development of, cutting-edge legal Ai tools.

As an Associate in our Finance Practice, you will have the opportunity to work on complex debt and debt-like financing transactions across industries and structures. In support of your practice, you will have exclusive access to the most sophisticated and bespoke Ai Agents developed by Norm Ai software and legal engineers, enabling you to truly focus on legal aspects of debt financing transactions, develop your professional skills working with veteran lawyers and practice in a dynamic environment built on experience supported by bespoke technology built for the future.

Our Finance Practice advises clients active in a broad spectrum of financing transactions and your role would include analyzing and designing the structure, and advising, documenting and executing of, the market’s most sophisticated and innovative financing solutions across capital structures and industries. You will collaborate with our Private Equity, Private Funds, Investment Companies, Real Estate, Capital Solutions and Restructuring and other practices and always engage with Norm Ai’s engineers to continue to develop and perfect Ai Agents to drive your practice in service or our clients.

What We're Looking ForCore Qualifications
  • Curiosity and desire to practice law at a non-traditional setting, working and collaborating with software engineers and contributing to the development of advanced legal Ai Agentic technology

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

  • 3-6 years of experience in secured financing transactions.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • No prior AI experience required.

What Success Looks Like
  • 30 Days: Learn the firm's AI platforms, take an active role advising clients on matters and workflows.

  • 60 Days: Independently use AI agents to support your practice, including to review and generate transaction documentation and negotiations.

  • 90 Days: Lead workstreams across multiple secured financing matters, applying concentrated, focused legal judgment and skills using Norm Ai technology to capture and enhance quality, speed, and client service.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $270,000 to $410,000 per year

The range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
