Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is seeking to hire a 4th or 5th year associate to join the New York Litigation-General practice group in the Litigation Global Business Unit. Candidate must be located in New York, have strong academic credentials and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, oral advocacy, research, writing, and analytical skills. Candidate must have meaningful experience litigating matters in New York State courts, including conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting court appearances, and must have a working knowledge of the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR).
Candidate should have the ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and exercise strong professional judgement in a busy commercial practice. Just as important, the candidate should have strong organizational and matter management skills and must be committed to developing and growing their practice and career, network, and expertise in a fast-paced and exciting group that provides the highest level of client service.
Candidate is required to have a bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school and be a member of the New York State Bar in good standing. All inquiries will be held in strict confidence.
The expected salary range for this position is $310k - $365k. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, and skill set.
