About this role

  • The Offshore Wealth Manager Research team sits at the center of the business, driving strategy, business development, and client sales enablement with U.S.-based Wealth Management firms serving global investors. The team partners closely with Market Leaders, Sales Desk, Product, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to scale the Offshore Wealth platform across the Americas.
  • This role is responsible for helping shape and execute the Offshore Wealth growth agenda, with a focus on expansion of investment solutions, platform and product due diligence, product selection, and model delivery. The role blends strategic thinking, investment expertise, and commercial execution, acting as a force multiplier for field sales and a key interface with internal product partners.
  • This Manager Research role is a strategic pillar for Offshore Wealth—shaping what the business brings to market, how it is delivered on platforms, and how effectively it is positioned with advisors serving global clients. Success in this role directly impacts solution adoption, AUM growth, and the scalability of the Offshore Wealth franchise.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with Offshore Wealth leadership to define and execute business growth priorities across client firms.
  • Lead platform due diligence, product reviews, and product selection processes with U.S. wealth platforms, private banks, and broker-dealers.
  • Drive client business development, including managing client relationships, execute commercial plan.
  • Work closely with Market Leaders and the Sales Desk to enable client conversations, including platform availability, portfolio construction frameworks, and competitive positioning.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert across the Offshore Wealth investment platform, including ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, Private Markets.
  • Develop an understanding of client needs and help identify opportunities where BlackRock’s capabilities can deliver value.
  • Manage recurring client deliverables and track business opportunities, team priorities, and progress against strategic goals.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal partners (PMs, sales, product, marketing, legal/compliance, RFP).
  • Synthesize and communicate client insights, platform trends, and market intelligence.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and events.

Position Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in the investment industry or related field; relationship management or sales experience preferred.
  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 required.
  • Clean compliance record with no prior restrictions related to product distribution.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$150,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
