Position Responsibilities:
- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provides objective evidence of results
- Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
- Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.
- Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed. Disposition and control of on-conforming products.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator.
- Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
- Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Previous aerospace inspection experience
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
