As an Associate Software Engineer at CVS Health, you'll play a crucial role in building and delivering high-quality software that enhances customer experiences. You'll be involved in all phases of software engineering, from requirements analysis to deployment, while adhering to agile software development methodologies. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.
 

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will:

• Assist in coding, debugging, and testing software applications under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and contribute to software solutions.

• Document software processes, research new technologies, and participate in professional development workshops.

• Contribute ideas to improve software performance, scalability, and user experience while learning industry best practices.

You will be intellectually challenged to solve problems associated with large scale complex, structured and unstructured data, that will allow you to grow your technical skills and engineering expertise.
 

Location: New York City hybrid schedule is preferred. Will consider U.S. remote. Will operate primarily on Eastern Time Zone hours.

Required Qualifications

• Academic to 2 years+ of experience designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP)

• Strong academic experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, Java, and PostgreSQL

• Fundamental understanding of CI/CD principles and practices, supporting automated testing and seamless deployment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems

• Experience with Jenkins, Git, and other DevOps principles/best practices

• Familiarity with different phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Formal SAFe and/or agile experience.

• Previous healthcare experience and domain knowledge

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field required

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
