The Data & Analytics group’s mission is to empower Cognyte with data through analysis, operational insights, strategic initiatives, and decision-making. We are looking for an experienced data analyst and Tableau developer to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing data and business processes, enhancing our semantic layer, develop interactive Tableau dashboards and contribute to our business's success and growth. You will work with cross-functional teams, IT and business functions, and engineers.

To do well in this role, you need to be business-oriented and technical, with an excellent eye for detail, have experience as a Tableau developer and Business Intelligence expert, with a passion for visual storytelling.


As a Cognyter you will:

  • Manage, design, and develop Tableau dashboards, including data sources, security, privacy, and metadata
  • Own and maintain the Tableau environment including server monitoring, troubleshooting dashboard performance, and upgrades
  • Utilize best practices in data visualization to create clear, concise, and visually appealing dashboards
  • Collect business requirements from a variety of stakeholders and design the data model, data transformations, and cleansing
  • Work closely with data engineers to effectively build our data warehouse
  • Work closely with business analysts and business operations teams to create a holistic semantic layer for the organization
  • Stay up to date on the latest Tableau features and functionalities
  • Train end-users



Requirements

For that mission you’ll need:

  • +5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Expert (data analysis or development)
  • +3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing Tableau dashboards
  • Proven track record of creating self-explanatory dashboards and optimizing the user experience tailored to specific audiences
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong skills in DWH data modeling and business analysis
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of an agile team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluent English

 Advantage:

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist and Admin certifications
  • ETL development/Data engineer experience
  • Experience with – Snowflake, SQL-Server, SSIS, Rivery, DBT
  • Experience in a global company
