About the Opportunity: 

Chelsea Piers Field House is seeking a driven and client-focused professional to join our team as a Birthday Party Sales Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sales and seamless coordination of birthday parties and special events at our facility, delivering an exceptional experience for every guest. 


As the Birthday Party Sales Coordinator, you will be expected to: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for birthday party inquiries and confirmed bookings, responding promptly and professionally via phone and email 

  • Drive revenue by converting inquiries into bookings through clear communication of packages, pricing, and availability 

  • Manage all event logistics, including guest headcount, catering arrangements, and special client requests 

  • Partner with the Operations Coordinator to liaise with Chelsea Piers food and beverage providers and facility partners 

  • Process invoices and transactions accurately and in a timely manner 

  • Provide exceptional on-site customer service to ensure all events are executed flawlessly 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the facility's database system(s) 

  • Achieve established monthly and annual sales targets by maximizing utilization of all available event spaces 

  • Assist with weekly payroll calculations and submissions 

  • Perform additional duties as directed by management 

  • Must be available one weekend day per week 

  • Eligible for performance-based sales bonuses 


Qualifications
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and sales 

  • Highly motivated, energetic, and results-oriented 

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365; ability to quickly learn CRM software (Zoho preferred) 

  • Able to manage multiple clients and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 

  • Consistently professional and courteous in all interactions 

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail 

  • Collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-oriented approach 

  • Prior experience in event planning strongly preferred 

  • Background in sports, recreation, events, or working with youth is a plus 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 

  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. 

  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
