The Vice President will take on key responsibilities, including monitoring performance across Blackstone’s Private Equity platforms, driving strategic prioritization of the firm’s operational resources, furthering Blackstone’s portfolio data strategy including the deployment of advanced AI, and developing financial, operational, and investing insights from across Blackstone’s entire portfolio ecosystem. 

Effective team members are highly analytical, collaborate effectively with individuals across the entire firm, and skilled at audience-appropriate communications of the highest caliber.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Process management focus (portfolio monitoring, data collection, etc.): 
    • Develop, document, own and execute processes that fit the context and purpose
    • Clear, audience-aware communication, including effective note-taking and follow-up tracking
    • Follow up across parties relentlessly – but respectfully and thoughtfully –as needed
  • Data architecture / richness focus (73S, Snowflake, survey data, 3P data, etc.):
    • Business-side understanding of data structures and modern tools for aggregation and synthesis
    • Baseline technical data/AI understanding to serve as a key liaison to technical teams
    • Assess and articulate opportunities to combine data sources for richer insights
  • Collateral creation focus (weekly/monthly notes, ICS/PW materials, quarterly insights reports, etc.):
    • Strong skills distilling complex information into clear, succinct messages for various audiences
    • Baseline operating and economic context to inform narrative formation and intentionality of language
    • Independently iterate with design, L&C and other applicable teams
       

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, asset management, or management consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills and mindset; distills trends from complex datasets
  • Consistent produces high-quality work product on tight timelines
  • Resourcefulness and curiosity to drive novel analyses and continuous process improvement
  • Baseline context for investing (process, terminology, metrics, etc.)
  • Collaboration and communication skills; coordinates, collaborates, and persuades parties across the organization, functions, and seniority levels
  • Adaptable individual with a “can do” attitude to drive results in an evolving landscape
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adaptable and solutions‑oriented; comfort operating in an evolving business landscape.

Expected annual base salary range:

$160,000 - $225,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
