POSITION OVERVIEWThe Brand & Commerce Copywriter turns product and marketing direction into clear, persuasive consumer copy. This person supports the day-to-day needs of performance marketing, TJ.com, product hang tags, and other customer touchpoints, keeping the Tommy John voice consistent while helping drive commerce.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write copy for paid social, Google, YouTube, email, SMS, direct mail, affiliate, and other marketing channels.
  • Create headlines, product messages, calls to action and channel-specific variations from approved briefs.
  • Write homepage, landing-page, category, PLP, and PDP copy that makes product benefits easy to understand.
  • Develop concise copy for product hang tags, packaging, launches, and product education.
  • Translate product features into clear consumer benefits and extend approved campaign ideas in a consistent Tommy John voice.
  • Work closely with Sr Director Marketing & Creative Operations and partners across Marketing, Site, Product, and Creative.
  • Manage multiple assignments, respond to feedback and deliver accurate copy on time, with organized records of approved messaging and claims.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
  • 2–3 years of copywriting experience, ideally for a consumer, retail, apparel or e-commerce business
  • A portfolio showing strong digital, product and marketing copy across several channels
  • Ability to make product information simple, compelling and commercially relevant.
  • Strong grammar, proofreading, organization and attention to detail, with comfort working from a brief and managing feedback
  • Collaborative, practical and low-ego working style

  • Clear, accurate copy that helps consumers understand the product and take action.
  • Consistent product stories across marketing, Site, hang tags and packaging.
  • Reliable, on-time execution with fewer revision cycles.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
