Freelance Brand Strategist (Beauty & Wellness)
CASE Agency is looking for a freelance brand strategist for a short-term engagement with the potential to extend. Initial engagement will focus on one project, possibility to extend to more.
What you’ll do:
- Support discovery and early strategy work across consumer, brand, category and culture
- Synthesize inputs into clear insights and strategic takeaways
- Help shape brand platform direction (positioning, value proposition, pillars, narrative)
- Build clean, client-ready docs and slides that are sharp and easy to follow
- Collaborate closely with our strategy lead and creative team on tight timelines
What we’re looking for:
- 3–7 years in brand strategy (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Elevated taste and deep knowledge of prestige beauty, haircare and wellness categories
- Clear writer who can make strategy feel simple and compelling
- Comfortable moving fast and multi-tasking
- Confident running parts of the work independently, with thoughtful checkpoints
Timing & location:
- Start: ASAP
- Commitment: ~10–20 hours/week for the next 4–6 weeks (with potential to extend)
- Location: NYC preferred, but remote-friendly (must be available for meetings 10am - 6pm ET)
We are an integrated branding agency with a talented, highly-collaborative (and really nice) 40-person team that combines WFH with IRL 3 days per week in a beautiful, light-filled office in Soho, NYC or our satellite co-working space in Hollywood, CA. Since 2004, we’ve partnered strategically with global companies like The Shiseido Group, The Estée Lauder Companies, and e.l.f. Beauty, as well as social-first start-ups like OUAI, Summer Fridays, and Keys Soulcare to define and articulate their brands, and engage consumers around the world. Learn more at caseagency.com
