About us:

Working at Tech Holding isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. We are a full-service consulting firm that was founded on the premise of delivering predictable outcomes and high-quality solutions to our clients.  Our founders and team members have industry experience and have held senior positions in a wide variety of companies – from emerging startups to large Fortune 50 firms – and we have taken our combined experiences and developed a unique approach that is supported by the principles of deep expertise, integrity, transparency, and dependability.

The Role:

We are seeking a Business Analyst / Product Manager, for a project-based assignment, to help modernize a legacy platform by translating complex business workflows into a scalable product vision. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through implementation and go-live. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative discovery, enjoys bringing structure to complex business processes, and can effectively bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner directly with client business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to deeply understand workflows, including undocumented edge cases and tribal knowledge.
  • Lead and facilitate discovery workshops, user shadowing sessions, and requirements gathering activities, translating findings into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog in close collaboration with the client's Product Owner, balancing business value, technical dependencies, and delivery sequencing.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between business intent and engineering execution, ensuring the distributed development team builds the right solution.
  • Document workflows, business rules, and conditional logic with enough precision to support codification and automated testing.
  • Support UAT planning and execution, including building structured test scenarios mapped to real business workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline, and improve existing business processes rather than simply digitizing them.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication across stakeholders while surfacing risks, dependencies, and key decisions early.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Owner supporting enterprise software or platform implementations.
  • Working knowledge of the studio and entertainment industry, specifically content licensing, distribution, and broadcast rights across domestic and international markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, structure, and document complex business requirements and translate them into actionable engineering work.
  • Strong facilitation skills with experience leading workshops and driving alignment among senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, story writing, and acceptance criteria definition.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with a structured, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Experience supporting data-heavy platforms or large-scale migration initiatives.
Location:
  • Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid – Minimum 3 Days Onsite Per Week)

Employment Type:

  • Contract
