We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable IT Application Specialist with a strong focus on Yardi property management software. This role involves providing support and training, managing application integrations, and ensuring the effective use of the Yardi system within our organization. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Yardi software modules, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support and solutions.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Work closely with our Enterprise Application Manager, oversee the Yardi property management system, ensuring its optimal performance and utilization.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Yardi database structure, application integrations, and YardiOne platform. 
  • Provide ongoing application support, addressing issues and queries related to Yardi. Contribute to the training and development of end-users via the Rose Learning Center to enhance their proficiency in using Yardi.  
  • Assist in the implementation of new Yardi modules, ensuring they align with business needs and enhance the renter experience. 
  • Work closely with real estate application vendors to ensure seamless integration with the Yardi system. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify and implement software changes that improve business processes. 
  • Successfully manage and optimize the Yardi property management system. This includes minimal downtime, efficient handling of updates or upgrades, and ensuring the system runs smoothly and reliably. 
  • Effectively train and support team members leading to improved user proficiency in utilizing Yardi. Measurable outcomes might include reduced user error rates, positive feedback from users, and decreased need for repetitive support on the same issues. 
  • Successfully implement new Yardi modules or integrations. Indicators include meeting project deadlines, staying within budget, and achieving the desired outcomes in terms of improved functionality or efficiency. 
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with vendors and achieving seamless integration of Yardi with other real estate applications. Success here can be measured by the absence of integration-related issues and positive feedback from vendors. 
  • Demonstrate ability to continuously identify and implement improvements in business processes related to Yardi. Success would be evident in measurable enhancements in process efficiency, cost savings, or user satisfaction. 
  • Effectively address and resolve issues related to Yardi. This could be measured by a reduction in recurring problems, quicker resolution times, and positive feedback from users regarding the support received. 
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in property management software and technology, and assess how these can be applied to enhance the Yardi system. 
  • Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested. 
  • Must be present on-site and be able to move throughout the buildings to address business application related matters, including exceptional communication skills to meet with staff, vendors and visitors. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience in training and development, particularly in property management with a focus on Yardi. 
  • Knowledge of real estate management processes and financial reporting requirements. 
  • Deep understanding (5+ years) of Yardi – NY, RentCafe, Affordable module experience, NY Module DHCR. Property management and/or Yardi Voyager experience required.  
  • Strong understanding of additional Yardi modules (P2P, Budgeting, Commercial, etc.), and additional real estate technology applications. 
  • Proficiency in navigating computers and community management software, to include Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, EliseAI, RentCafé and Yardi. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with software project management and implementation. 
  • Affordable housing certifications are preferred (i.e. LIHTC, HCCP, COS, CPO, C3P, etc.) 
  • Work authorization (required). 
Annual salary range: $125,000 - $145,000
