The Business Architect for Security Usage Strategy will lead the go-to-market strategy and operating model that turn Microsoft Security AI capabilities into repeatable customer usage motions. The role connects targeting and use-case selection with tenant enablement, activation, sustained agent and workflow adoption, consumption, value realization, renewal, and expansion. Its focus is to translate Security Copilot and agentic SOC opportunities into practical, cross-discipline motions that help customers embed AI into security operations.

Working across business, technical, product, engineering, sales, field, delivery, and partner teams, the role applies strong security domain understanding and current AI technology knowledge to connect customer needs, product capabilities, and execution. It uses independent analysis and customer feedback to prioritize opportunities, design scalable motions, and improve measurable outcomes. The role owns GTM strategy and motion design, not incident-response operations or product engineering.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

AI SOC GTM Strategy and Motion Design
- Own the AI SOC usage strategy and operating model across the customer journey, from targeting and use-case selection through activation, sustained usage, value realization, renewal, and expansion.
- Define motion triggers, customer problems, value propositions, segmentation, offers, commercial dependencies, partner roles, and field orchestration; align incentives and enablement needs with accountable stakeholders.
Security and AI-Informed Execution Planning
- Apply SOC investigation and response, SIEM/XDR, and security operations knowledge to customer needs. Maintain current AI literacy across agents, orchestration, integrations, human oversight, and governance to shape practical motions.
- Pair tenant nominations and enablement with activation plans: prioritized use cases, accountable execution owners, technical proofing, readiness criteria, adoption milestones, and customer value measures.
- Use DART frontline insights and field and customer feedback to shape relevant scenarios and repeatable playbooks, without assuming ownership of incident response or customer-resilience operations.

Usage, Consumption, and Continuous Improvement
- Define activation, sustained agent and workflow adoption, usage, consumption, and value measures with stakeholders, including relevant monthly Security Copilot SCUs and Security ACR signals.
- Independently analyze customer, field, business, and operational data to identify friction, gaps, risks, and opportunities; turn insights into prioritized recommendations, action plans, and motion refinements.
- Establish feedback loops and a business review rhythm that drive decisions on what to improve, scale, or stop, connecting execution and usage evidence to customer value, renewal health, and expansion.

Cross-Organizational Alignment and Communication
- Align business, technical, product, engineering, sales, field, delivery, and partner teams on priorities, handoffs, and accountability; embed AI SOC motions across disciplines rather than relying solely on champions.
- Drive repeatability and consistent quality through playbooks, sales guidance, enablement, and execution coaching; close feedback loops between customer needs, motion design, and field execution.
- Clearly communicate strategy, priorities, progress, risks, blockers, impacts, and outcomes at the appropriate level for each audience; recommend decisions and drive execution with minimal management direction.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
