The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to work closely with our Chief Business Officer, supporting the identification, evaluation and development of new business opportunities that will shape the company’s next phase of growth.
This role is ideal for someone in their second or third role who is commercially curious, analytically strong and creatively minded, with a genuine interest in how gaming, sport and entertainment are converging. You will sit at the centre of new business development, helping turn ideas, trends and opportunities into clear strategies and compelling partner pitches.

Responsibilities

Market & Opportunity Analysis

  • Research and assess new markets, formats and business models across gaming, sport, media and entertainment
  • Size opportunities by evaluating total addressable market, growth potential, audience dynamics and monetisation models
  • Track and capitalise on emerging trends, including mass participation and creator-led competitions, new live and digital formats, distribution models and platform shifts
  • Support prioritisation of new business opportunities with clear, data-backed rationale

Ideation & Pitch Development

  • Support ideation for new products, formats, partnerships and IP extensions
  • Channel that ideation and internal showering to develop high-quality pitch decks and materials for: Potential partners; IP owners; Game publishers; Platforms and brands
  • Ensure ideas are well packaged with a clear narrative, strong visuals, logical structure and compelling commercial logic, grounded in data and persuasive storytelling

Partner & Industry Engagement

  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with external partners and stakeholders
  • Conduct background research on companies, IP, games, creators and platforms
  • Capture insights, actions and follow-ups from partner discussions

Requirements

Experience

  • 1–4 years’ experience in consulting, strategy, media, gaming/esports, sports, entertainment, start-ups or a related field
  • Exposure to analysis, strategy, partnerships or business development is a plus

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent packaging skills — able to turn ideas and analysis into clear, compelling slides and documents
  • Strong analytical ability, including market sizing and opportunity evaluation
  • Quick learner, comfortable navigating new sectors, technologies and business models
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
  • Confident working closely with senior leadership
