Position Overview
The Business Development Licensing Coordinator supports the company’s growth initiatives by prospecting, facilitating contract processes, and assisting in the vetting and execution of new business opportunities. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners, ensuring that all licensing agreements are efficiently administered, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of licensing agreements, including tracking terms, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Update and maintain CRM system to track and facilitate all deal flow.
- Research and assess potential licensing and partnership opportunities; compile reports and presentations for leadership.
- Prepare and review contract documentation, ensuring timely execution and accurate record-keeping.
- Work closely with Legal, Finance, Brand, Creative, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment across licensed products, IP, contractual terms, and brands.
- Maintain contract databases and generate regular status updates, performance reports, and financial summaries (e.g., royalties, payments).
- Serve as a point of contact for licensors, licensees, and other business partners; ensure smooth communication and follow-up.
- Recommend and implement best practices to streamline licensing workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Legal Studies, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in licensing, business development, contract administration, or related roles.
- Understanding of intellectual property rights, licensing, and contract management principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, contract management tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in Home, Culinary, Fashion, and Outdoors industry is a plus.
