Business Development DirectorRole Overview
As Business Development Director, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Kronos Research’s presence across global digital asset markets. You will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, own key partner relationships, and collaborate closely with trading, product, and executive teams. This role is based in New York and offers the opportunity to directly influence the firm’s commercial trajectory at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive the end-to-end business development strategy for key global markets, with an emphasis on institutional partnerships, exchange relationships, and strategic expansion opportunities.
- Lead high-level negotiations and relationship management with crypto exchanges, liquidity consumers, market makers, and ecosystem partners.
- Identify new markets, products, or asset classes where Kronos can scale its market-making, OTC, or algorithmic trading capabilities.
- Serve as a senior liaison between external partners and internal stakeholders, including trading, legal, product, and infrastructure teams.
- Partner with the executive team to define and execute long-term growth plans, including M&A evaluations, ecosystem investments, and go-to-market strategy.
- Represent Kronos at industry conferences, regulatory discussions, and major partner events to enhance thought leadership and visibility.
- 8+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or partnerships, preferably in crypto, financial services, trading platforms, or venture capital.
- Proven leadership experience driving complex, high-value partnerships across global markets.
- Deep understanding of crypto trading infrastructure, liquidity dynamics, market making, and digital asset ecosystems.
- Strong commercial acumen and executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical and strategic thinker with strong deal structuring and execution capability.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and navigate ambiguity
- Prior experience leading cross-functional initiatives with high visibility and business impact.
- Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
