Sigma Prime is looking for a Business Development & Growth Manager to help expand our security services and develop commercial opportunities around our emerging products.

We’re looking for someone proactive who understands how to build relationships in technical markets, identify opportunities, and turn early conversations into long-term commercial partnerships.

You’ll lead outbound business development for Sigma Prime’s Web3 security assessment services while helping establish the market, partnerships, and customer pipeline for Secstant, our AI-assisted security review tooling currently in development, and Bombora, our Ethereum block builder.

You’ll work directly with Sigma Prime’s directors and collaborate closely with our security, research, engineering, and operations teams.

This is an opportunity to shape the growth function within an established and highly technical Web3 organisation, rather than inheriting an established sales process.

The Company

Sigma Prime is a blockchain security and distributed systems company focused on securing and building critical decentralised infrastructure.

Since 2016, we have worked with many of the most prominent teams in the industry, delivering security assessments, protocol research, design consultancy, and specialist engineering services across complex Web3 systems, distributed protocols, zero-knowledge systems, infrastructure, and smart contracts.

We are also the creators and maintainers of several production Ethereum products:

  • Lighthouse is a leading Ethereum consensus client and one of the most widely deployed implementations on the network. Written in Rust, Lighthouse has operated in production since the launch of the Beacon Chain and is used by home stakers, professional staking providers, exchanges, and institutional infrastructure operators.

  • Bombora is Sigma Prime’s Ethereum block builder, developed to contribute to builder diversity and strengthen the resilience of Ethereum’s proposer-builder ecosystem.

  • Secstant is our security tooling platform currently in development, designed to improve how complex software is analysed and reviewed.

  • Anchor is an independent Rust implementation of the SSV protocol for Distributed Validator Technology. It introduces client diversity into the SSV ecosystem and helps reduce the operational risks associated with relying on a single implementation.

Our combination of security assessments, research, open-source engineering, and live infrastructure operations gives Sigma Prime a practical understanding of the systems we help secure.

The Role

This role is centred around creating opportunities, building strong ecosystem relationships, and developing a repeatable commercial function across Sigma Prime’s services and products.

You will be responsible for outbound business development for our security assessment services, while also helping us understand and develop the markets for Secstant and Bombora.

As an early member of the growth function, you’ll be encouraged to improve how Sigma Prime tracks opportunities, evaluates channels, and measures commercial performance.

This is not a high-volume transactional sales role. Our work is technical, reputation-driven, and often involves long sales cycles. The role is built on credibility, sound judgment, persistence, and trusted relationships developed over time.

You will:
  • Identify and approach prospective clients for Sigma Prime’s security assessment, embedded security, and specialist engineering services

  • Build strong relationships with founders, engineers, security leaders, investors, ecosystem organisations, and other decision-makers across Web3

  • Develop commercial and ecosystem relationships for Secstant as the product progresses towards early access and wider availability

  • Identify potential customers, design partners, integrations, and strategic partnerships for Secstant

  • Build relationships across the MEV, searcher, relay, validator, DeFi, and broader Ethereum ecosystems relevant to Bombora

  • Represent Sigma Prime at selected industry conferences and ecosystem events several times per year

  • Manage early commercial conversations and coordinate technical discussions with Sigma Prime’s directors, Security Assessment Managers, researchers, and engineers

  • Implement and maintain scalable CRM and business development processes

  • Establish practical reporting and metrics across pipeline generation, conversion, sales cycles, relationship development, and channel performance

  • Research prospective markets, competitors, customer needs, and emerging opportunities

  • Contribute to proposals, partnership discussions, and go-to-market planning

  • Support product discovery by gathering structured feedback from prospective users and ecosystem participants

  • Contribute to articles, product updates, case studies, conference material, and other written content where relevant

  • Help improve Sigma Prime’s broader approach to positioning, communications, and growth

You may fit this role if you:
  • Have experience in business development, partnerships, technical sales, ecosystem growth, or a related commercial role

  • Have an existing understanding of Web3, Ethereum, cybersecurity, developer tooling, or other highly technical markets

  • Are comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships through thoughtful outbound activity

  • Can communicate credibly with both commercial decision-makers and highly technical founders and engineers

  • Enjoy developing opportunities in markets where the product, customer segment, and sales process are still evolving

  • Take ownership of follow-ups and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management

  • Can introduce structure without creating unnecessary process or administration

  • Write clearly and can explain technical products without relying on exaggerated claims or generic sales language

  • Are comfortable working directly with company directors and senior technical staff

  • Operate well independently in a remote environment

  • Are willing and able to travel internationally for several conferences or industry events each year

Nice to Have:
  • An existing network across Ethereum, Web3 security, DeFi, infrastructure, developer tooling, or institutional blockchain organisations

  • Experience selling security assessments, consulting services, enterprise software, developer tools, or other technical products

  • Experience bringing an early-stage technical product to market

  • Familiarity with smart contracts, blockchain protocols, distributed systems, MEV, proposer-builder separation, or software security

  • Experience establishing a CRM, defining sales processes, or introducing commercial reporting into a growing organisation

  • Experience developing partnerships with protocols, foundations, infrastructure providers, investors, accelerators, or developer communities

  • Experience writing technical or industry-focused articles, product updates, case studies, or newsletters

  • Experience representing an organisation at conferences, private events, and ecosystem meetings

Location

Sigma Prime is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, and operates as a remote-first company with team members globally.

The role is open globally, although some overlap with Australian and European working hours will be valuable. International travel for selected industry conferences and meetings will be expected.
