About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead, develop, and scale our Business Development team. You will drive top-of-funnel pipeline generation through the management and optimization of outbound and inbound prospecting motions, working closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to support company growth goals. 

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, manage, and scale a high-performing BDR/SDR team.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top SDR/BDR talent.
  • Provide structured coaching, performance feedback, and career growth plans.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and quarterly goals. 

Pipeline & Process Ownership

  • Design and implement outbound and inbound prospecting strategies (email cadences, cold calling frameworks, LinkedIn outreach).
  • Drive consistent, predictable pipeline through high-velocity outreach and qualification. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to refine lead scoring, qualification criteria, and nurture workflows.
  • Partner with Account Executives to define ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and prioritize target account lists.

Metrics, Reporting & Tools

  • Track and analyze team performance metrics (e.g., meetings booked, SQL/MQL conversion, pipeline dollars).
  • Maintain CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platform hygiene.
  • Use data to optimize team workflows and outreach effectiveness. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align with Revenue Leadership on goals, territory planning, and quota setting.
  • Translate product strategy and competitive insights into training and messaging frameworks.
  • Work with Enablement to develop playbooks, sales scripts, objection handling, and competitive battlecards.
Who You Are

Experience

  • 3+ years of SaaS or B2B tech sales experience with 2+ years in a sales development leadership role.
  • Track record of building and scaling SDR/BDR teams within high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated success with both outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification.

Skills

  • Strong coaching and performance management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to articulate strategy and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, SalesLoft).
  • Data-driven mindset — comfortable with analytics and performance dashboards.
