Position Overview 

PlanITROI is seeking a proven Business Development Executive with deep experience selling IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), IT Lifecycle Services, Reverse Logistics, and Enterprise Technology Solutions. This is a true hunter role focused on acquiring new enterprise clients and developing long-term strategic relationships. The ideal candidate already possesses an extensive network of enterprise IT decision-makers and has successfully sold complex technology services, including IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), Device Buyback & Trade-In Programs, Lifecycle Management, Reverse Logistics, Depot Repair Services, Device Refresh & Deployment, Asset Recovery, Circular Economy Programs, Sustainability & ESG Initiatives, and Managed Device Services. You understand how to engage CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, Procurement Leaders, IT Asset Managers, Infrastructure Executives, and Supply Chain leaders while positioning technology lifecycle programs that reduce cost, maximize asset recovery, improve security, and support sustainability objectives.

This role is based in the United States, on EST only. 


Mission of the role:  

Lead the expansion of PlanITROI's enterprise market presence by acquiring new strategic clients, building trusted executive relationships, and delivering innovative IT lifecycle solutions that maximize financial value, reduce environmental impact, and help close the digital divide. Through consultative selling and industry expertise, this role will accelerate revenue growth while positioning PlanITROI as the premier enterprise partner for IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), lifecycle management, and circular economy solutions. 


The problem we're trying to solve:  

Enterprise organizations invest billions of dollars in technology, yet many continue to lose significant value when managing retired IT assets. They often face fragmented vendor relationships, security and compliance risks, inefficient logistics, rising sustainability expectations, and underperforming asset recovery programs. At the same time, many organizations are unaware that a strategic IT lifecycle partner can transform retired technology into measurable financial returns while advancing ESG initiatives and creating meaningful social impact. 


PlanITROI is solving this challenge by providing a comprehensive, end-to-end technology lifecycle solution that securely manages every stage of a device's journey—from deployment and refresh to asset recovery, refurbishment, re-marketing, and responsible reuse.

The Business Development Leader is responsible for identifying these opportunities, educating enterprise leaders on the hidden value within their technology assets, and converting them into long-term strategic partnerships that drive growth for both our clients and PlanITROI.

This role is more than winning new businessit's about changing how enterprises think about technology lifecycle management by demonstrating that secure ITAD, sustainability, and profitability are not competing priorities but powerful business advantages when delivered through the right partner. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting enterprise organizations with 10,000+ computing users 
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach
  • Build executive-level relationships with enterprise IT and procurement leaders
  • Position PlanITROI's comprehensive IT lifecycle services, including IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), Secure Data Destruction, Device Buyback Programs, Reverse Logistics, Redeployment, Depot Repair, Asset Recovery, Refurbishment, and Device Re-marketing
  • Identify enterprise refresh cycles, lease expiration, mergers, acquisitions, and technology initiatives that create lifecycle opportunities
  • Deliver compelling executive presentations demonstrating financial, operational, and sustainability value
  • Manage complex sales opportunities from prospecting through contract execution
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Client Success, and Executive Leadership throughout the sales process
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, opportunity management, and sales activity within Salesforce
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and enterprise procurement requests
  • Represent PlanITROI at conferences, trade shows, technology events, and industry associations
  • Consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue objectives 

Required Experience 

  • 5+ years of enterprise business development experience within the following: IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), Enterprise Hardware Sales, Managed IT Services, Reverse Logistics, Device Lifecycle Management, Depot Repair, Circular Economy Solutions, Enterprise Technology Services
  • Existing relationships with enterprise IT decision-makers across Fortune 1000, Global 2000, healthcare, education, financial services, government, manufacturing, or large commercial organizations 
  • Demonstrated success selling six- and seven-figure enterprise solutions
  • Proven history of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience managing long enterprise sales cycles with consistent touch points 
  • Experience building and executing strong executive presentations and negotiation skills
  • Experience identifying enterprise device refresh opportunities and technology lifecycle initiatives
  • Knowledge of IT procurement processes, leasing, asset recovery, and hardware refresh strategies
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and sustainability within enterprise IT environments
  • Experience in AI Tools and technology ( Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc. )
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Experience with Zoom Info & LinkedIn Sales Navigator  
  • Experience with Apollo AI or similar modern Lead Generation tools
