As a BDR at Kira, you will generate outbound pipeline for sales, engaging with school districts and crafting personalized outreach to decision-makers, while collaborating closely with Account Executives.
The summary above was generated by AI

Kira is transforming how people learn by using AI to empower teachers to deliver truly personalized learning at scale. We’re building tools that make high-quality education more accessible, adaptive, and effective—while reducing the burden on educators. We’re backed by top investors and are building a team that moves fast, thinks deeply, and cares about impact.

As a BDR at Kira, you’ll own outbound pipeline generation and play a critical role in how we break into and expand within school districts. This is not a transactional, high-volume-only role. You’ll be expected to think strategically about accounts, identify the right entry points, and craft thoughtful, highly personalized outreach that resonates with educators and administrators navigating real constraints. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and leadership to define and refine our outbound motion—what messaging works, which segments to prioritize, and how we win. If you’re energized by building from zero, excited about AI, and want real ownership over pipeline creation, this is a high-growth role with a clear path into closing.

What You’ll Do

  • Own outbound prospecting into target school districts (calls, email, LinkedIn, and creative channels)

  • Build and execute account-based strategies to engage multiple stakeholders across complex organizations

  • Identify and connect with key decision-makers and influencers (superintendents, curriculum leaders, tech leaders, etc.)

  • Craft highly personalized messaging that clearly communicates Kira’s value

  • Generate qualified pipeline by booking high-quality meetings for Account Executives

  • Partner closely with AEs to prioritize accounts, share insights, and iterate on outreach strategy

  • Continuously test, learn, and refine outbound approaches based on results and feedback

  • Develop a strong point of view on AI in education and how Kira fits into that landscape

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in BDR, SDR (outbound-heavy), or similar prospecting role (SaaS preferred)

  • Proven ability to generate pipeline through outbound efforts

  • Strong research and prospecting skills - you know how to navigate complex orgs and find the right people

  • Excellent written and verbal communication - clear, concise, and tailored

  • High agency and ownership - you don’t wait for direction, you create momentum

  • Resilient and comfortable with rejection in a cold outbound environment

  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, early-stage environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into K-12 education or public sector

  • Experience with enterprise or multi-stakeholder sales cycles

  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Apollo, or similar

  • Interest in or exposure to AI / edtech

What We Offer
  • Base salary $55,000 – $65,000, OTE (base + variable at 100% quota) $80,000 – $95,000 + equity

  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance, including a medical insurance plan with 100% coverage of employee premiums

  • DoorDash credit for lunch daily

  • Dog friendly office 🐶
