About Maki

Maki builds AI agents that help large companies hire faster and better, from screening to assessment to engaging candidates. Global enterprises use Maki to run hiring at scale, and our GTM team in New York is growing.

The role

You are the first conversation many of the world's largest employers have with Maki. You find the right accounts, reach Talent Acquisition and HR leaders, and book the meetings our Account Executives turn into deals. You work hand in hand with AEs, marketing and a tight BDR team.

What you will do
  • Research target accounts and spot the signals that make now the right time to talk, using AI tools every day.

  • Run phone first outreach, backed by email and LinkedIn, to senior TA and HR leaders.

  • Book qualified meetings and hand them to AEs with the context they need.

  • Help fill and run executive dinners and events with your AEs.

  • Keep Salesforce clean and accurate.

  • Share what you hear from buyers with marketing and product.

What you bring
  • At least 1 year of professional experience. It does not have to be as a BDR: sales, recruiting, consulting or any client facing role counts.

  • Real curiosity about AI, and you already use AI tools in your work.

  • You are comfortable on the phone and want to master cold calling. You will go through our cold call certification in your first weeks.

  • Resilience, competitiveness and the will to be coached.

  • Rigor: you organise your week and follow up on everything.

  • Fluent English.

Nice to have
  • French or another European language.

  • Experience selling to HR or Talent Acquisition teams.

What we offer
  • Competitive salary

  • A structured onboarding, a ramp buddy from the current BDR team

  • Clear paths to grow: full cycle sales, team leadership, enablement and technical GTM roles.

  • A fast growing AI company where your ideas get used.

  • Proximity to Leadership team

Our process

An answer within 2 weeks of your first interview:

  1. A call with our recruiter.

  2. A short assessment on Mochi, our AI interviewer, so you try the product yourself.

  3. A first interview with our sales team.

  4. A case study with BDR manager

  5. Final Interview with our VP of Sales.

  6. Offer

A note on how we hire

Before you meet anyone from the team, you will complete a short screening interview with Mochi, our AI interviewer. Everyone who applies goes through this step, and we only interview candidates who have completed it.

If this is your first AI interview, know that Mochi is a core part of the product we build. We hire with the same tools we sell.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you.
