The Role
adMarketplace is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the Publisher team and contribute to our new business pipeline and help expand our reach within the publisher ecosystem. As a BDR, you will play a critical role in identifying and engaging with potential partners, conducting in-depth market research, managing outreach campaigns, planning our team's involvement in industry events, and collaborating with internal teams to support business growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to jumpstart your career and develop foundational skills in the ad tech industry.
What You'll Do:

  • Build and manage a prospect list using Salesforce and prospecting tools
  • Build connect plans for key contacts within the publisher target list
  • Assist with pipeline management for Business Development team members in Salesforce
  • Conduct market research to identify potential leads
  • Assist Business Development team members with qualifying identified targets
  • Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and SimilarWeb to analyze market trends, identify relevant or emerging industries, companies, and decision-makers
  • Partner with the Marketing team to create and manage drip campaigns, ensuring effective messaging with prospects
  • Build pitch decks, one-pagers and case studies with the Marketing team
  • Plan and manage the Publisher team's involvement in key industry events
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to refine and improve processes


Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in publisher sales or a similar business development role.
  • Proven ability to creatively solve problems and effectively engage new leads.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn (including Sales Navigator) and familiarity with Salesforce (training provided if necessary).
  • A curious mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a significant plus.


*Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000

*This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of adMarketplace in the New York office. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
