Job Title: Senior Manager, Business Development

Overview
CX, a Connor Group Company, is hiring a Senior Manager of Business Development in Dallas, Texas and Las Vegas, Nevada to support growth. This role focuses on building CX’s presence in the marketplace by leveraging existing relationships, developing new connections, and partnering closely with market leaders to drive revenue. The role centers on identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and converting leads into long-term engagements with companies across various stages.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, cultivate, and close new client opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients.
• Build and maintain a strong client pipeline across the CX service line, primarily in the accounting and finance interim staffing space.
• Develop and manage relationships with executives such as CFOs, VPs, Controllers, and other senior leaders at mid-market to large companies.
• Prospect and engage potential clients through meetings, networking events, industry conferences, and targeted outreach.
• Develop and grow a strong referral ecosystem including Big 4 firms, mid-tier public accounting firms, private equity, and other strategic partners.
• Work closely with CX leadership to support regional market development and achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
• Prepare and coordinate client-facing documentation including NDAs, engagement letters, statements of work, and responses to client requests.
• Lead and organize regional events to support brand awareness and client engagement.
• Stay informed on market activity, emerging companies, and potential client needs in order to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Provide engagement leadership across active clients, including regular check-ins with both client stakeholders and CX teams, coordinating performance reviews, gathering and delivering feedback, and proactively identifying opportunities to expand or deepen client engagements.
- Maintain disciplined and timely activity within the CRM, ensuring accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and visibility into client interactions and deal progression.
Target Client Profile
• Private and public companies ranging from approximately $50M to $5B in revenue
• Industries may include oil & gas, gaming, technology, construction, life sciences, and other emerging sectors
Preferred Qualifications
• 8-15 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, consulting, or accounting services
• Team-oriented operator who collaborates across regions and shares opportunities to maximize client impact
• Established professional network, particularly with CFOs, company executives, VPs of Finance, and Controllers
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and partner relationships
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the CX brand effectively
• High integrity and strong professional presence
• Self-driven, ambitious, and comfortable operating in a relationship-focused sales environment
• CRM experience preferred
