About the Role:

Protegrity's Business Development team is expanding, and we’re seeking a Global Business Development Team Lead to drive both individual and team success across multiple regions.

This player/coach position combines hands-on pipeline generation with leadership responsibility for a distributed team of BDRs focused on Enterprise and Mid-Enterprise markets.

You will build scalable outreach strategies, coach team members across geographies, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Enablement to ensure world-class execution. You thrive in the B2B technology space — and you’re passionate about transforming how organizations protect data in the era of AI.

This is an opportunity to lead by example, shaping a high-performing global BDR function while contributing directly to Protegrity’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personally generate new business opportunities with prospective Enterprise and Mid-Enterprise clients.

  • Research global target accounts, map buying centers, and uncover key business challenges, drivers, and decision criteria.

  • Execute structured multi-channel prospecting sequences (phone, email, social, campaigns, events) tailored by account and persona.

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and secure discovery meetings for the regional Enterprise Sales teams.

  • Maintain an accurate and transparent personal pipeline; consistently delivering against KPIs for meetings, conversions, and pipeline value.

  • Capture competitive/objection insights from your own prospecting and feed structured learnings into global messaging and playbooks.

  • Continuously test and refine your own outreach (A/B messaging, personas, channel mix), document results, and contribute learnings to team playbooks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a global team of Business Development Representatives spanning North America, EMEA, and APAC.

  • Drive consistent performance through data-driven management of KPIs, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.

  • Build and evolve scalable playbooks for outreach, messaging, and qualification tailored to regional market dynamics.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Enablement to improve lead flow, campaign follow-up, and hand-off processes.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s, call coaching, and performance reviews to develop skills and career progression for each team member.

  • Monitor CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy, report weekly on both individual and team metrics to global leadership.

  • Hire, onboard, and train new BDRs as the global team expands, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Own BDR enablement outcomes including onboarding plans, ramp metrics, and ongoing training.

  • Drive adoption and optimization of the BDR tech stack and automation.

  • Lead global BDR execution for campaigns/events with defined SLAs and follow-up motions.

  • Build global team cadences and rituals that reinforce culture and cross-regional consistency.

  • Provide feedback loops to Product Marketing and Demand Generation to continuously refine messaging and target personas.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in B2B technology sales or business development, with 2+ years in a team lead or player/coach role.

  • Proven track record of leading distributed or international teams and exceeding global pipeline targets.

  • Deep understanding of Enterprise buying cycles and experience selling or prospecting into technical stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across time zones and cultures.

  • Expertise in Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data Privacy, Big Data, or AI/Analytics market segments strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, SalesLoft (or equivalent), and data enrichment tools (ZoomInfo, Demand base, etc.).

  • Analytical and operational mindset with the ability to derive insights from performance data and translate them into action.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit—comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where process evolution is part of success.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.

Why Choose Protegrity:

  • Become a member of a leading Data Protection, Privacy and Security company during one of the best market opportunities to come along in a generation.

  • Competitive Compensation/Total Reward Packages that include:

  • Health Benefits (Health/Dental/Vision)

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • 401K

  • Annual Bonus Incentives

  • Short and Long Term Disability

  • Work on global projects with diverse, energetic, team members who respect each other and celebrate differences

  • Talent First Workforce
