About The Position | Major Goals and Objectives and Location Requirements:
The Business Intelligence Analyst, D/Cipher supports campaign analytics, revenue reporting, and cross-functional data initiatives that drive performance visibility and operational alignment across the organization.
This role is responsible for transforming complex campaign and revenue data into clear, compelling, and actionable narratives and deliverables that support informed decision-making. The Analyst demonstrates strong proficiency in data storytelling — synthesizing quantitative findings into insights that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Partnering closely with Client Services, Sales, Trading, Yield, Revenue Strategy, Product, Operations, and Engineering, this role ensures reporting accuracy, analytical rigor, and consistent data governance practices while helping teams understand not just what the data shows, but what it means and what actions it supports.
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Position’s Contributions: Weight % Accountabilities, Actions, and Expected Measurable Results:
30% Campaign Analytics & Performance Reporting
Analyze performance across programmatic, paid social, SEM, curated PMP, and other digital media campaigns.
Pull and synthesize data from SQL queries, Looker dashboards, and other reporting systems.
Collaborate with Measurement and Trading teams to support campaign measurement frameworks and reporting execution.
Contribute to post-campaign reporting and performance analysis framework in partnership with leadership.
Support in-flight optimization discussions by providing data-driven insights to Trading, Client Services, and Sales teams.
Develop performance summaries and forward-looking recommendations for inclusion in post-campaign reports.
Provide reporting support to the Yield team to inform pricing, packaging, and inventory insights.
Proactively identify performance risks or discrepancies and escalate findings as appropriate.
25% Revenue & Sales Reporting Support
Assist with weekly revenue reporting, sales activity reporting, and pipeline analysis in collaboration with Revenue Strategy.
Support reporting on KPIs and KPOs for Sales Leadership to ensure transparency and accountability.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of recurring and automated reporting processes.
Support sales performance analytics and maintain clean, accurate pipeline data.
Perform ongoing QA to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.
Partner cross-functionally to resolve data discrepancies and maintain reporting integrity.
25% Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner regularly with Client Services, Sales, Trading, Yield, Revenue Strategy, Operations, and Product teams to provide analytical support.
Participate in client calls as needed to address reporting capabilities and performance insights.
Support RFP responses by articulating measurement methodologies and reporting capabilities.
Collaborate with Client Services to reinforce reporting standards and analytical best practices.
Provide performance insights to inform Product roadmap discussions.
Work with Engineering and Data teams to troubleshoot data issues, clean datasets, and backfill reporting gaps.
20% Data Governance & Quality Assurance
Conduct ongoing QA of campaign and revenue reporting datasets.
Support consistent KPI definitions and reporting standards across teams.
Assist in documenting reporting processes and methodologies.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving reporting efficiency and data reliability within D/Cipher.

The Data Strategy & Business Intelligence (BI) team serves as the analytical backbone of the D/Cipher organization, transforming raw data into the strategic fuel that drives growth. By bridging the gap between technical complexity and operational action, the team ensures that every department, from Sales to Engineering, moves in sync with clear, data-backed insights.
We specialize in data storytelling, translating campaign and revenue metrics into compelling insights that inform executive decision-making.
By partnering across the entire organization (including Yield, Trading, and Product), we align diverse teams under a single source of truth.
We provide the visibility required to track revenue health and campaign effectiveness through rigorous reporting and consistent data governance.
Beyond just showing "the numbers," our team defines what the data means, identifying specific opportunities for optimization and long-term strategy.
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, AdTech, Campaign Analytics, Revenue Analytics, or a related field.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Experience using BigQuery, Looker, or comparable data platforms. SQL querying skills preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling).
Experience analyzing multi-channel digital campaign performance and conversion attribution data. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and marketing tools strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and business narratives.
Approximate Travel Requirement: < 10%

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
